What I'm doing... |
Currently, I should finish my studies in computer science on the Mathematical faculty in Novi Sad. But the life decided to interact with me a little more and a little without my aprovement, so now I'm making a little pause. It's safer here north these days. The lectures is stopped, but examinations not.
Beside examinations, I have a lot's of interests, so here are they:

Computers was my first love. My forst computer was bought in '87 in Wien. It was an 8-bit ATARI 800XL, naked, without floppy or cassete recorder. I was typing my programs for just once... My last 8-bit days was totally developed: floppy drive, two cassete recorders (for experts only: 1010 and XC12) and a bunch of floppies. My second computer was ATARI (those machines had souls!) 1040STe. It was bought in Zagreb in '89. It was in my service for a long time, noone could persuade me to buy PC compatible machine. My Prolog and Lisp programs were written on ATARI and later demonstrated to professors on PC's. My first trouble begun with Modula-2, the language we used on my faculty. It was a too big problem for ATARI with only 1Meg and without HD... I'm PC owner from '98 february. But this is too close to present. Photography was my second love. My father was a photography lover too, so we had a few cameras, lens... we was equipped. I was active in photography in grade and highschool. I was the secretary of the local Photo club for 2 years. In these years, I was the organiser of two well succeeded ex-Yugoslavia wide photo exhibition. I spent 3 years in Petnica Research Center. It is a center for highschools with a wide variety of sciences to learn, and participate in work. I spent there two years on astronoy course, one on computer science. |

After high school, I started my studies on the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathemathics in Novi Sad. The first month my brother and I moved to Novi Sad, I started to work. It was the year of hyperinflation in Yugoslavia, so my parents could not pay the room. I was working in a design studio, preparing page layouts in one very popular DOS program. I was in the school from 7.30h to 13.00h, and at work from 13.30h to 21.00h, sometimes later. After proving myself, I was transferred to more demanding positions. This had noticeable consequence to my studies. I left my work in '97., and tried to continue were I stopped. With my knowledge from DTP, I started a little business: solving atypical problems. Some of them, is that Vojvodina has a mixed population, so in a local newspaper has to use serbian (latin) and hungarian letters too, mixed. Current software is improving this capability, but still some questions are not covered. For example: mixed hyphenation of hungarian and serbian language. I was also programming some little utilities in PostScript and some PostScript code generators... |

My work had left some important thoughts in my head: I don't want to work DTP anymore. At least, not like operater. I can solve more complicated problems than putting text on page, so why not to do it? But my first task is to complete what I have left uncompleted: my studies. |
