The theme of competition for Bezistan was how to re-invent and re-construct this specific city square that has so distinctive architectural and historical values. This city square was in poor condition, it was not maintained adequately and it was not adapted for many years.
First-prized work and architectural solution designed by authors architect Marin Kresic and architect Tamara Skulic was evaluated as adequate, conservative, moderate but at the same time contemporarily conceived. The proposition of the architectural solution was preservation of original architectural composition with improved and refined new contents in transparent forms.
After many delays and due to financial difficulties and complicated procedures for termination of this project the first-prized architectural solution of the city square Bezistan is only partly realized.
Tema konkursa za Bezistan je bila kako rekonstruisati ovaj specifican zatvoreni trg sa izrazitim arhitektonskim i istorijskim vrednostima, ali u zapustenom stanju i neadekvatno adaptiran dugi niz godina.
Prvonagradjeni rad autora arh. Marin Kresic i arh. Tamara Skulic, ocenjen je kao primeren, umeren ali i savremeno koncipiran - predlog je bio da se sacuva originalna kompozicija i oplemeni novim sadrzajima u transparentnim formama.
Ovaj prostor je, posle dugog odlaganja zbog finansijskih i proceduralnih teskoca, samo delimicno realizovan po konkursnom resenju.
