The Rules of the Annual TESLA MEMORIAL v/u/shf Contest 1) Organizer: Savez Radioamatera Vojvodine Trg mladenaca 10 21000 Novi Sad Yugoslavia e-mail: srv@EUnet.yu 2) Time: First full weekend in July, starting Saturday at 1400 GMT, ending Sunday at 1400 GMT. 3) Participation: Licensed stations in the 1st IARU Region 4) Categories: A) VHF - 50 MHz band B) VHF - 144 MHz band, max 3W output C) VHF - 144 MHz band, max 30W output D) VHF - 144 MHz band, QRO E) UHF/SHF - 432 MHz, 1.3 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands F) SHF - 5.6GHz, 10 GHz bands and upper G) VHF/UHF - 144 and 432 FM only H) Absolute category for YU station I) Absolute category for YU outside station There is no category classification based on contest location or number of operators. Contest location and call sign change during contest is not permitted. Stations in one of the VHF 144 MHz categories may also participate in A, E or/and F category. All stations can also claim score in H (I) category, with different call, for team call. Only one station in category. 5) Bands: VHF: 50 MHz, 144MHz UHF: 432 MHz, 1.3 GHz , 2.4 GHz SHF: 5.6 GHz, 10 GHz, and more All stations must follow the IARU 1st Region Band Plan recommendations, legal terms and conditions stated in own country and license. Permitted modes: CW, SSB (G category excepted) and FM. 6) Exchange: call sign, RS/T, serial number starting with 001 on every band (incrementing for each QSO logged), WW QTH locator and QSO confirmation. 7) Outside YU station, participate out concurrence, will be awarded only in (I) absolute category. 8) Scoring: Score in A - G categories is to be computed by addition of QRB points and QTH points. QRB points can be claimed according to the following table: VHF: 50,144 MHz 1km = 1 point UHF: 432MHz 1km = 1 point UHF: 1.3GHz: 1km = 3 points UHF: 2.4GHz: 1km = 5 point SHF: 5.6GHz: 1km = 1 points SHF: 10 GHz 1km = 3 points QTH points: For each different QTH square (KN05, JN95,...) worked for the first time on each band, station can claim 1000 points. This must be clearly indicated in station log. In H and I category, total score is computed by addition of scores claimed in categories A - G, with to follow manner. 1. place 10 points 2. place 8 points 3. place 6 points 4. place 5 points 5. place 4 points 6. place 3 points 7. place 2 points 8. place 2 points 9. place 2 points 10. place 2 points 11. and down 1 point 9) Logs: Logs submitted must be kept for each band separately and must contain: Date, Time (GMT), Call sign of station worked, sent and received RS/T, sent and received serial numbers, WW QTH locator of station worked, QRB points, QTH points and mode. Summary Sheet must be submitted separately for each entered category and must contain: contest name; contest date; category entered; participant call sign, and team call for H and I category, name and address; QTH locator; call signs of all operators; claimed number of QSOs; claimed QRB points, claimed QTH points; claimed score; best DX (call sign, QTH, QRB); short station, antenna and location description and Statement of contest operation accordance with the Contest Rules. Logs must be in the mail within 15 days after the contest (date postmark), and must reach the organizer before 31st of August. Log mailing can be done on address stated above or on e-mail: srv@eunet.yu 10) Ranking time: Organizer is committed to check all received logs and form rankings for all categories by 1st of October. Rankings will be distributed to radio amateur journals, national societies of all participants, winners by categories, and will be published on BBS of SRV by stated deadline. 11) Awards: First place in each categories will be awarded with a Certificate and a Trophy. For places 2 to 5 a Certificate will be awarded. Awards will be presented on SRV Annual Conference. 12) Rankings: Rules Manager determines Rankings and his decision in this mater is final. VHF Manager keeps the right to cross-examine any submitted log. 13) Disqualification: Station will be disqualified if there are more than 5% of errors in the submitted log. A QSO will be qualified as an error in following cases: unmarked dupe, QSO not appearing in the log of a correspondent, 10 minutes logging time difference, uncompleted QSO data, contradiction with the Contest Rules and Ham's spirit, operating outside of the Band plan. 14) Exclusion: Contacts made via the repetitors, translators, EME and MS are considered as invalid, thus points cannot be claimed. 15) Rules: VHF Manager holds the right of interpreting the Contest Rules as well as accepting all comments on contest and rankings.
