In the middle of nowhere, from Belgrade Serbia (Yugoslavia) comes one openminded and interesting band. Music these guys produce can bring us all the pain and suffering they feel, with a dose of morbid humor.But when does this story begin?In late nineties, fifteen years after the establishment of grind and crust core and ten years after death metal breakthrough we have a band from Belgrade that is producing something that's on first sight already heard..well, not exactly..

The members of band had started working together long time before Scared was formed.They banted to grind core during years while they have been trying to play more complex music, which can be described as melodic-tehnical death metal.The band was named GAMARIEL(666!). The members of Gamariel were Bunika (vocals),Igor (guitars) ,Visa (bass) and Maxa (drumms). Three years of hard work and only one gig were enough for these guys to split up...err, not exactly.While band was appart one of their ex-members got an offer to play in famous club in Belgrade as a support with his group...he didn't have a band at that moment, but why loose a chance like that?!..so he called Visa ,Maxa and Bunika from Gamariel and SCARED was born in late 1997(what a great day for a mankind!). With a wise leadership of Marko, these three guys were ready to blow away the club, having only two rehersals behind...and that's exactly what happened.....At the beginning, the band was some kind of a side project, but as time passed by it turned to be a full time band.After that they had a numerous number of gigs. In fact,the band is famous because they had more gigs than rehersals... it is a miracle how they can sound so unique.The only line change happened two hours before one big concert when Visa(bass) decided to leave the band.The band however played on that festival without a bass player, there was just one guitar, drumms and three vocalists(singer and drummer of Heretical Guilt joined us to help groggy Bunika with vocals) in front of 2000 people.Soon after that the band recruits a new bass player (tananana!) the Brutal Sloba(a men interested only in goregrind) to help band sound more.... well, gory.After a half year of existance(summer 1998)they recorded a demo with 15 songs that sound refreshingly old and fast like it was in England when Scumm arrived. The working title of this demo was JA IMAM NOZ( I've got the knife).The sound on that tape is solid for that kind of music and everything is very unique about this band so you should check it out.Just a few days after the demo was recorded the band didn't loose timeand it started making new songs, so the next plan is to release the second material which would be more interesting than the first one. About 25 or even more songs are planed to be on the second release...People who listen to SCARED can never guess unpredictible nature of this band.They can schedule a gig and not show up, the singer can be drunk so someone else would sing instead of him, they can play a gig after 8 months and no rehersals.On new demo tape you can expect some flute, ocarina, other weird instruments and more brutal riffs, more stupid punk sounds even a pure rock but always in grindcore way.The band is always ready to answer all of your questions and drink with you.If I managed to interest some of you about the band please contact this e-mail

The members play in some other bands like TIBIA (gothiccore),Androphagous(Deathmetal),CORRUPTUS (gore grind), B.O.L. (raspadi)...and they're always ready to support the scene...
