Maximus and SmallCD have a routine which checks if your CD drive makes errors during the play of dirty discs,
so with Maximus you will not hear flickers (called "jitter" too) or blockades anymore. To get this function
just open the Setup dialog box, then select the "Playing" tab and press "Retest" while an Audio CD is in the
drive (as shown in the picture). Maximus will automatically detect the best values for your CD drive, but
you can also set them manually.
